CONTEXT

Florida is the Lightning Capital of the United States, and the earliest human encounters with wild fires were likely caused by lightning. Since Thor shares many attributes needed for the job of a firefighter. So Thor is ironically the patron saint of firefighters.

IMPLEMENTATION

Lightning and Light are literally the driving source and material for this artwork. With the Global Lightning Network data and a lightning detector, we dynamically cross-mapped the global lightning distribution with the on-site fire-rescue training footages to drive an ever-evolving light display on the LED panels installed across the building facade. And whenever local lighting strikes within a 300 mile radius, subliminal lightning flashes spread across the building facade.
